Championship Play-Off Semi-Final Date Changed Due to Premier League Clash
The date for the first leg of the Championship play-off semi-finals has been changed due to a Premier League match taking place nearby. The fifth-vs-fourth place game, initially scheduled for 8 pm on Monday, May 13th, will now take place on Sunday, May 12th, at 2:15 pm. The sixth-vs-third place match will also take place on May 12th, but at 12:30 pm.
According to reports, the rescheduling is due to Aston Villa’s home game with Liverpool at Villa Park, which could strain local police resources if held on the same day as the Championship match. The reverse fixture of the fifth-vs-fourth place match will be held on Friday, May 17th, at 8 pm.
Play-Off Final Date and Venue
The play-off final, known as the richest game in football, will take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, May 26th.

Ipswich Town, Southampton, West Brom, and Norwich City are set to be the four teams vying for the third and final promotion spot to the Premier League.
