Chattanooga Tourism is taking a significant step towards fostering a collaborative environment by launching a Resident Sentiment Survey. This initiative provides a platform for Chattanooga residents to share their perspectives on the impact of tourism on their community.
The survey, following the recent launch of the community-wide Tourism Sentiment Surveys, emphasizes the importance of resident voices in shaping the city’s tourism landscape. By participating, residents can provide valuable feedback on the benefits and challenges tourism brings, ensuring their opinions are considered in the city’s future tourism strategies.
Barry White, President and CEO of Chattanooga Tourism Co., stressed the significance of resident participation: “The feedback we receive from this survey will be crucial in shaping tourism strategies that truly reflect the values and needs of Chattanooga’s residents. This is your opportunity to tell us how tourism affects you and what changes you want to see in our community.”
The Resident Sentiment Survey explores key aspects of tourism’s impact on residents’ daily lives, including:
*
Quality of Life:
How does tourism affect your sense of community, access to local amenities, and overall quality of life?*
Economic Impact:
Do you feel the economic benefits of tourism are distributed fairly?*
Infrastructure and Services:
Are there any challenges or opportunities related to tourism’s impact on infrastructure and services in your community?*
Environmental Impact:
How does tourism affect the environment and your experience of it?Your insights will directly influence the strategies that mold the city’s tourism landscape, ensuring it enhances the quality of life for all who call Chattanooga home.
Chattanooga Tourism Co. is calling on all residents to participate in this survey and share their thoughts on the direction of local tourism. Your feedback will play a vital role in creating strategies that benefit the entire community. As a token of appreciation, one lucky participant will win a prize package that includes a $100 Chattanooga dining gift card, local merchandise, and tickets for four to over 10 top attractions.
In addition to the Resident Sentiment Survey, the Business Tourism Sentiment Survey remains open for local business owners and managers. There’s still time to share your perspective! Your input is invaluable in developing tourism strategies that support the local business community.
Both survey results will be available in early 2025, offering key insights to guide Chattanooga’s ongoing tourism planning and development. Chattanooga Tourism Co. is dedicated to consistently gathering feedback from the community to ensure that tourism reflects the needs and values of its residents. By conducting these sentiment surveys every few years, the organization will continually assess tourism’s impact and make adjustments to enhance planning and development efforts in the city.
