The Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) is taking proactive steps to ensure comfortable journeys for everyone. Starting tomorrow, Friday, September 13th, the MTC will be deploying a whopping 955 extra special buses across numerous routes to accommodate the expected increase in travel demand.
The Kilambakkam bus terminus will be a central hub for these special buses, offering enhanced connectivity for passengers. In addition to the extensive network within Chennai, the MTC is also focusing on inter-city travel. 190 special buses will be operating between Chennai and Coimbatore, and 20 special buses will be running from the Madhavaram depot. To meet the needs of travelers venturing further, 350 special buses will be available on major routes connecting Chennai to Bengaluru, Coimbatore, and Tirupur.
