Chennai police have confirmed the identity of the woman discovered deceased on the seashore at Tiruvottiyur Kuppam on August 11th. The victim has been identified as Manimekalai, a 46-year-old railway employee who worked as a technician at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Perambur. Manimekalai secured her job at ICF on compassionate grounds after the passing of her husband, Sivakumar, who also worked at the same facility, ten years ago.
