Cher Accepts Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction After Previous Criticism

Cher has reversed her previous stance on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, following the announcement that she will be inducted into the institution in 2024.

In a previous appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” Cher had criticized the Hall of Fame for overlooking her despite her seven-decade-long career and chart-topping hits. However, after being included among the 2024 inductees alongside Mary J. Blige and the Rolling Stones, Cher has changed her tune.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation’s chairman, John Sykes, praised the inductees for breaking down musical barriers and inspiring generations of artists. Eligibility for induction requires artists to have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the nomination.

Among the first-time inductees in the performer category are Cher, Foreigner, Kool & the Gang, and Peter Frampton.
