K-Pop girl group Cherry Bullet has confirmed its disbandment after five years. The group’s agency, FNC Entertainment, made the announcement on April 22nd via the fan community app.
The agency stated that after much deliberation and discussion with the members, they have decided to end their official group activities. Haeyoon, Jiwon, Remi, and May have terminated their contracts with FNC, while Yuju, Bora, and Chaerin will remain with the agency for future activities.
Cherry Bullet debuted in 2019 with the single album ‘Let’s Play Cherry Bullet’. The group’s lead single, ‘Q&A’, ranked 17th on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart, indicating their potential in the industry. The group released three extended plays, two single albums, and several non-album singles during their active period. Their last release was the extended play ‘Cherry Dash’ in March 2023.
Cherry Bullet has received multiple nominations at year-end award shows, including the Best New Female Artist nod at the 2019 Melon Music Awards. The group’s disbandment marks the end of an era for fans, known as Lullets. However, some of the members will continue their careers in the entertainment industry, offering fans the opportunity to follow their individual journeys.
