Chopard’s annual unveiling of its Red Carpet Collection at the Cannes Film Festival is a highlight of the luxury jewelry world. This year, the collection, aptly named ‘Contes de Fées’ (Fairy Tales), takes inspiration from the enchanting world of childhood dreams.
Composed of 77 exquisite pieces of Haute Joaillerie, the collection is a whimsical journey through a world of magical creatures and dazzling gemstones. Caroline Scheufele, co-president and artistic director of Chopard, has masterfully crafted creations that evoke a sense of wonder and enchantment.
From shimmering frogs perched atop a princess crown, to fairies with diamond-studded wands and a magnificent oak tree necklace, each piece is a testament to Chopard’s unparalleled craftsmanship. The oak tree necklace, a true masterpiece, took six months to create and required the expertise of four jewelers and setters. Its leaves, crafted from titanium, are adorned with tsavorites, while the flowers are composed of clusters of briolette-cut yellow sapphires.
The collection also features a whimsical mushroom ring with a diamond-paved cap, a delicate lily of the valley brooch, and a stunning multi-colored sautoir with a rock crystal pendant. The sautoir, a symbol of magical growth, features a flower composed of rubellites, tsavorites, and colored diamonds, surrounded by nine titanium flowers adorned with tiny tsavorites, resembling dewdrops.
The ‘Contes de Fées’ collection is a celebration of the power of imagination and a reminder of the timeless magic of fairy tales. These unique pieces are available in select Chopard boutiques around the world, offering a chance for discerning collectors to own a piece of this enchanting world.
