At the heart of this cinematic extravaganza lies Chopard’s Trophée Chopard, an award that has nurtured and celebrated emerging talents since 2001. This year, the honor was bestowed upon Australian actress Sophie Wilde and American actor Mike Faist, recognizing their exceptional performances and promising careers.
Sophie Wilde’s captivating portrayal in the critically acclaimed horror film and the limited television series captivated audiences, while Mike Faist’s Tony and Emmy Award-winning performances in Steven Spielberg’s and Luca Guadagnino’s , showcased his versatility and charisma.
As the stars gathered at the Carlton Beach Club, steps away from the iconic Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, Chopard’s Artistic Director and Co-President, Caroline Scheufele, welcomed the crowd. Alongside her stood Iris Knobloch, the first female President of the Cannes Film Festival, and the radiant Demi Moore, who graced the occasion as the ‘godmother’ of the event.
Demi Moore, whose illustrious career spans five decades, looked resplendent in a shimmering Balenciaga gown, her dark hair cascading past her waist and Paraiba tourmalines and diamonds sparkling around her neck. Her presence evoked a sense of timeless elegance and cinematic legacy.
In her address, Demi Moore expressed her gratitude to Chopard and Caroline Scheufele for their unwavering support of emerging talents. She spoke of the transformative power of the Cannes Film Festival, a place where dreams take flight and stories leave an enduring mark.
As the banquet commenced, guests were treated to a culinary masterpiece crafted by two Michelin-starred chef Bruno Oger. The Provençal-inspired menu, featuring sea bream in Provençal sauce and courgette flower with smoked aubergine caviar, tantalized the senses and complemented the festive atmosphere.
The revelry continued late into the night at the storied Hôtel Martinez, where guests danced beneath the glittering stars and breathtaking views of the Côte d’Azur. The rooftop of the Hôtel Martinez served as Chopard’s headquarters throughout the festival, providing a glamorous backdrop for star-studded encounters and unforgettable moments.
Among the constellation of stars in attendance were Greta Gerwig, Eva Longoria, Kevin Costner, Lily Gladstone, Eva Green, and countless others, all adding to the vibrant and celebratory spirit of the evening.
