Nestled amidst the picturesque grounds of Scotland’s Drummond Castle, the sound of bagpipes reverberated through the air, heralding the commencement of Christian Dior’s Cruise 2025 show. As models gracefully descended a flight of stone steps leading into the castle gardens, they showcased an enchanting collection that paid homage to Scotland’s enduring legacy with the iconic fashion house. Inspired by the untamed beauty and warrior spirit of Scotland, the collection seamlessly blended historical references with modern aesthetics. Kilts, chainmail, and tartan adorned the models, evoking a sense of medieval elegance.
The hairstyles and makeup artistry further accentuated the warrior-princess theme. Hip-length braids were intricately interwoven with strands of golden thread, reminiscent of the gilded accents adorning the collection. Plaits were skillfully fashioned into ethereal crowns, while wisps of hair adorned the forehead and temples, as if the models had just returned from battle, their faces flushed with exertion and their hair slightly disheveled. Other models sported face and hair netting adorned with pearls, concealing their past endeavors.
Dior’s makeup artist, Peter Philips, masterfully employed the newly launched Forever Glow Star Filter and Dior Forever Glow Maximizer to impart a moonlit radiance upon the models’ skin. This subtle glow complemented the strength and structure of the collection. Philips also conjured an ancient interpretation of laminated brows, spiky and sharply defined, mirroring the bracken surrounding the castle grounds. A touch of Rouge Dior Baume 000 Diornatural, massaged into the lips, provided a plump and alluring finish.
With its captivating blend of historical influences and modern sensibilities, Christian Dior’s Cruise 2025 collection emerged victorious from the battle of fashion, leaving an unforgettable mark on the world of style.
