Claim Up to $3,500 If Affected by Data Breach at ACTS Retirement Services

Americans Impacted by ACTS Retirement Services Data Breach Eligible for Compensation

Individuals who were affected by the ACTS Retirement Services data breach of April 2022 are entitled to file a claim for compensation. The data breach potentially compromised sensitive information, including names, Social Security numbers, and treatment details.

To file a claim, individuals must provide proof of the impact they experienced as a result of the breach. Acceptable documentation includes phone bills, bank statements, or IRS documents. Two types of payments are available:

* Up to $3,500 for substantial losses, accompanied by documentation of efforts to recoup losses between April 7, 2022, and July 17, 2023.
* Up to $350 for out-of-pocket expenses, such as banking fees.

The deadline to file a claim is May 1, 2023, and a final approval hearing is scheduled for July 2, 2023. Individuals who are not eligible for the settlement are advised not to submit a claim, as it could affect the compensation available to those who are entitled.

Class action lawsuits provide a means for groups of individuals to seek legal action against companies or entities that have wronged them. In this case, ACTS Retirement Services has not admitted any wrongdoing in the settlement but has agreed to provide compensation to those affected by the data breach.
