The Los Angeles Clippers will seek to extend their lead in the Western Conference playoffs as they face the Dallas Mavericks in Game 2 of their first-round series. The game will take place at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday, April 23, at 10 p.m. EDT.
In Game 1, James Harden led the Clippers with 28 points and eight assists, while Paul George added 22 points and Ivica Zubac had 20 points and 15 rebounds. The Mavericks were led by Luka Doncic’s 33 points and Kyrie Irving’s 31 points, but the Clippers’ balanced scoring proved to be too much.
The Mavericks will need to find more offensive production from their supporting cast in Game 2 if they want to even the series. Tim Hardaway Jr., who averaged 14.4 points per game in the regular season, is a candidate to step up.
The Clippers will be looking to continue their strong play on both ends of the court. They held the Mavericks to just 39.8% shooting in Game 1 and forced 16 turnovers.
