Taste of Two Towns Event to Benefit Oakmont Carnegie Library

Join the Oakmont Carnegie Library for their 11th annual ‘Taste of Two Towns’ fundraiser on May 5th from 5 to 7 p.m. Enjoy a delightful evening of food and drink, including samples from local breweries and restaurants. Participate in the silent auction or listen to live music while supporting a great cause. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased by calling the library or visiting their website. All proceeds will benefit the library.

Brooms Available for Spring Cleaning

The Tarentum Area Lions Club is offering a variety of brooms for purchase, including soft and hard bristle push brooms, kitchen brooms, mill brooms, children’s brooms, and whisk brooms. Prices range from $8 to $16. Proceeds from sales will support local and global Lions charities. Contact Jody Shumaker or Donna Holsing to purchase a broom or for more information.

Master Gardeners to Distribute Free Tree Seedlings

Celebrate Arbor Day with the Penn State Master Gardeners of Armstrong County. On Friday, April 28th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., they will distribute free American Redbud tree seedlings at the Belmont Complex in East Franklin. The seedlings will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
