The Community Health Center of Waterbury (CHC) has secured a permanent home in the city, purchasing its longtime leased building at 51 North Elm Street. The sale, facilitated by Belfonti Companies, ensures the continued provision of vital healthcare services to Waterbury residents.
CHC has been serving the community from this location since 2011, but the recent acquisition under its parent company, Moses/Weitzman Health System, provides a greater level of stability and permanency for its operations.
Mark Masselli, President and CEO of CHC, expressed his satisfaction with the acquisition, stating that it represents a significant milestone for the organization. Michael Belfonti, President and CEO of Belfonti Companies, praised CHC’s commitment to serving Waterbury and highlighted the remarkable journey of the organization, which has grown from a single dental chair in Middletown, CT, to a world-class healthcare provider.
The $2.9 million transaction, which closed on July 31, 2024, underscores the commitment of both Belfonti Companies and the Moses/Weitzman Health System to supporting community health initiatives.
The Moses/Weitzman Health System is a leading healthcare system dedicated to providing primary care services to underserved populations across the United States.
