Composite Sketch Released to Identify Man Found Deceased Near Bow River

The Calgary Police Service (CPS) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man whose body was discovered near the Bow River in March. According to the CPS, the man’s death is believed to be non-criminal in nature. They hope that the composite sketch they have released will aid in identifying the man so that his family can be notified.

A passerby discovered the man’s remains on the riverbank close to Memorial Drive N.W. and 10 Street N.W. at approximately 11 a.m. on March 5. An autopsy revealed that his death was not suspicious.

The man is thought to have been between the ages of 55 and 70 at the time of his passing, according to the CPS. He was roughly six feet tall, weighed around 230 pounds, had blond or gray hair, blue eyes, and some facial hair. When he was discovered, the man was also sporting brown hiking boots with orange and black soles. Images of hiking boots resembling those he was sporting have been made public by the police.
