His Excellency Eng. Saeed Hamoud Al Mawali, Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information, and Chairman of Oman Air, along with the company’s Board of Directors, have announced the appointment of Con Korfiatis as the Chief Executive Officer of the airline. Mr. Korfiatis brings over three decades of experience in the aviation sector to Oman Air, where he will spearhead the company’s ongoing transformation. His primary focus will be on revitalizing the airline’s financial performance, leveraging his expertise in organizational transformation and strategy development. Throughout his extensive career, Mr. Korfiatis has held various CEO positions across the Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. Notably, he has founded four start-up ventures in Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Singapore, and China. He has also assumed multiple executive management roles encompassing finance, strategy, commercial operations, alliances, network management, branding, and marketing within some of the world’s leading airlines. Oman Air expressed its gratitude to Capt. Nasser Al Salmi for his contributions during his tenure as Acting CEO.
