Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the park is home to over 120 mammal species, 463 bird species, and a wealth of rare flora and fauna. Recognizing its environmental and socio-economic significance, the Republic of Congo’s Ministry of Forest Economy and the Ministry of Cultural, Tourist, Artistic, and Leisure Industry have joined forces to organize a multi-city tour in the United States, commencing on May 2 and concluding on May 13. The delegation will visit Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, and Washington D.C. to showcase the park’s unparalleled eco-tourism attractions.
The tour aims to shed light on Odzala-Kokoua’s global importance as a conservation area and promote sustainable tourism practices. The park’s stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife offer an immersive experience for nature enthusiasts, while its commitment to carbon credit initiatives aligns with the growing demand for eco-friendly travel.
