Congress Releases Candidate List for 2024 Lok Sabha Polls in Bihar and Punjab

The Congress party has released its list of candidates for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, fielding candidates in five constituencies in Bihar and two in Punjab.

Among the notable candidates is former BJP MP Ajay Nishad, who joined the Congress after being dropped by the BJP. He will be contesting from the Muzaffarpur seat in Bihar, which has been a stronghold of the BJP.

The Congress has also fielded former MLA Madan Mohan Tiwari from Pashchim Champaran, another BJP stronghold. Tiwari is a former state president of the BJP.

The party has earlier announced candidates for Kishanganj, Katihar, and Bhagalpur in Bihar, and all three constituencies will go to polls in the second phase on April 26.
