The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) has officially introduced its three Lok Sabha candidates from the Capital — Jai Prakash Agarwal from Chandni Chowk, Kanhaiya Kumar from Northeast Delhi, and Udit Raj from Northwest Delhi.
The announcement has been met with protests from a section of workers who are challenging the candidature of Raj. Protesters have gathered outside the Delhi Congress office, raising slogans against Raj and criticizing his past affiliation with the BJP till 2019.
Regarding the protests, Delhi Congress Chief Arvinder Singh Lovely said: “The internal machinery of the Congress is democratic in nature… we do not restrict party workers from publicly criticizing the leadership.”
