Congress Releases Charge Sheet Against BJP’s 10-Year Rule

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of planning to use its parliamentary majority to abolish reservations and change the Constitution of India. Releasing a charge sheet against the BJP government at the party headquarters Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad, Reddy claimed that the slogan of ‘Beyond 400’ seats in the upcoming elections is to secure the required numbers for altering the Constitution.

Reddy further alleged that the BJP’s plan to abolish reservations is part of a larger agenda to implement the ideology of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He cited the government’s implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), the three farm laws, and the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) as examples of the BJP’s willingness to suppress opposition and push through its policies.

The Congress charge sheet also accuses the BJP of ‘betrayal’ towards Telangana, highlighting the alleged discrimination in the allotment of funds, unfair allocation of water share in Krishna waters, and denial of national status to Telangana irrigation projects.

Reddy reminded the BJP of its unfulfilled poll promises, including the creation of two crore jobs per year and the return of black money from Swiss banks. He also criticized the government for its handling of the economy, pointing to rising prices of gas cylinders, fuel, edible oil, and essential commodities.

Congress has also released posters with the theme ‘Nayavanchana’ (Deception) to highlight the BJP’s broken promises. These posters were put up opposite Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad.

Present at the release of the charge sheet were Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, AICC in-charge Deepa Das Munsi, AICC secretary Rohit Chaudhary, Ministers Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Konda Surekha, TPCC working presidents Mahesh Kumar Goud and T Jagga Reddy, Parliament member Anil Yadav, and Advisor to Government Vem Narender Reddy.
