Congress Releases List of 38 Candidates for Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections
The Congress party has released a list of 38 candidates for the upcoming Andhra Pradesh assembly elections scheduled to be held next month. The list includes several new names as well as changes in candidates for various seats.
Among the key candidates announced are Lakkaraju Rama Rao, who will contest from the Vishakapatnam North assembly seat, and Tumman Kalyan Aszal Ali Khan, who will contest from the Kadapa Assembly seat. Rajachakkonda John Babu has been fielded from Guntur West, while Sunkara Padmasree will contest from Vijayawada East.
The Congress party had earlier this month announced 114 candidates for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections. The state has 175 assembly seats and will go for simultaneous elections on May 13. Electioneering has picked up momentum in the state with less than a month left for campaigning.
