A conservative beer company has capitalized on the recent assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump, generating over $1 million in sales from limited edition cans. ‘Conservative Dad’s Ultra Right Beer’ released a collectible featuring a stylized sketch of Trump with blood on his cheek and the message “fight.” This limited edition can follows the success of their previous Trump mugshot beer cans, which fetched up to $1,000 per case on eBay. The company’s press release on Friday stated, “Our previous limited-edition Trump mugshot beer cans have fetched up to $1,000 per case on eBay, and I’m confident this latest release will become even more of a collector’s item.” This latest release, the “FIGHT” six-pack, will be available for purchase until September 15th.
‘Conservative Dad’s Ultra Right Beer’ bills itself as selling “100% woke-free American beer” and has a range of Trump and Republican-themed products, including “Make Beer Great Again” T-shirts, swimsuits, ‘Real Women of America’ calendars, and more. The company, which launched in mid-2023, has seen significant success with its politically charged merchandise.
While the beer company cashes in on the controversy, investigators are still probing the assassination attempt. Authorities have conducted nearly 1,000 interviews but have yet to determine a motive for 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks’s attack. Crooks, who fired eight shots from the roof of a nearby building at Trump during a July campaign rally, was killed by a Secret Service sniper. The FBI has confirmed that Trump was struck in the ear by a bullet during the attack.
Trump has placed blame for the assassination attempt on President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. The Republican presidential nominee, speaking on the television talkshow Dr. Phil, claimed (without evidence) that the duo had hindered the Secret Service’s ability to protect him. He stated, “When this happened, people would ask, whose fault is it? I think to a certain extent it’s Biden’s fault and Harris’s fault. And I’m the opponent. They were weaponising government against me, they brought in the whole DoJ to try and get me, they weren’t too interested in my health and safety. They were making it very difficult to have proper staffing in terms of Secret Service.”
