Cornell Art Museum Unveils ‘Nature’s Palette: Art Inspired by the Earth’ Exhibition

The Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is excited to announce the opening of a captivating new exhibition at the Cornell Art Museum, titled “Nature’s Palette: Art Inspired by the Earth.” This dynamic collection will be on display from September 6, 2024, to February 2, 2025, taking over the entire upper level of the museum, located on the Old School Square campus at 51 N. Swinton Ave., Delray Beach, FL 33444.

The Cornell Art Museum is renowned for its commitment to showcasing diverse and thought-provoking art, and this exhibition is no exception. “Nature’s Palette: Art Inspired by the Earth” brings together an impressive array of innovative and immersive installations by 42 regional artists. Visitors will be immersed in a world of artistic expressions, encompassing 2D paintings, 3D sculptures, glass art, and more.

Among the featured artists are acclaimed figures such as Jill Hotchkiss, Ernesto Kunde, Marleen DeWaele, Ana Tomayo, Carin Wagner, Milena Arango, Nicolee Galluccio, and Isabel Gouveia, each bringing their unique perspective and mastery of their chosen medium to the exhibition. The collection has been expertly curated by Marusca Gatto, the Delray Beach DDA’s Cultural Arts Director, ensuring a harmonious and engaging experience for all visitors.

The exhibition’s opening coincides with the First Friday Art Walk on September 6th, from 6 to 9 p.m. Attendees can enjoy an evening filled with live music, light refreshments, artist presentations, and the opportunity to meet the artists in person.

The Cornell Art Museum offers free admission to all visitors and is open Wednesday from 12 to 5 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 12 to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m.
