Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) is in for a shock next week in Coronation Street when Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) announces her departure for a new opportunity abroad. The pair’s working relationship has been strained lately, with Alya taking the lead on an important meeting and Adam bringing another client to the office for some afternoon fun.
Feeling underappreciated at Barlow Legal, Alya decides to leave after a tense argument. She begins working for Rich’s firm, Fabian’s, and poaches their best client. In an attempt to win her back, Adam makes her a lucrative offer.
During a client meeting with Rich, Alya drops a bombshell that she’s leaving for Dublin. Determined to impress her, Adam hands over a summary of their joint case and they share a knowing look. However, in a shocking twist, Adam confesses his feelings for Alya and they kiss, unaware that Rich has entered the room.
