Coulomb Solutions Unveils Advanced Accessory Module for Commercial Electric Vehicles

Coulomb Solutions Inc. (CSI) showcased its groundbreaking Advanced Accessory Module (AAM) for commercial electric vehicles at the Advanced Commercial Vehicle Technology Conference (ACT EXPO). This single integrated unit is a game-changer for commercial vehicle OEMs, providing a compact and all-inclusive solution for EV advanced accessory electronics.

The CSI Advanced Accessory Module (AAM) incorporates the latest high-voltage power distribution unit (PDU+) with 4 battery string inputs, DC fast charge, and AC charge input. Additionally, it features a vast array of outputs, including drive inverter outputs, accessory drive outputs for steering and braking, a 12V DCDC converter, and multiple high-voltage outputs for AC compressor, heater, PTO, and other accessories.

The AAM offers numerous benefits to OEM customers by streamlining the integration process and significantly reducing the amount of high-voltage cabling, low voltage and communication wiring, and cooling plumbing required in traditional commercial EV integrations. This translates to weight savings of over 300 lbs., cost savings of over $, and faster OEM integration and production assembly.

David Mazaika, CEO of Coulomb Solutions Inc., emphasized, “Our new fully integrated EV Advanced Accessory Module for commercial electric vehicles is a drop-in replacement for commercial EV power distribution, charging, and complete accessory suite. This gives OEM’s a pre-engineered solution that is completely validated with reliable and proven components.”

Coulomb Solutions Inc. is a leading provider of high-quality battery systems and electrification components for the North American commercial electric vehicle transportation market. Their comprehensive range of accessory components includes battery thermal management systems, electric air conditioning compressors, cab heaters, steering pumps, air compressors for braking, accessory inverters, and onboard AC and fast DC Chargers. CSI’s mission is to accelerate the adoption of electric propulsion systems in commercial electric vehicle applications.
