Courteney Cox Launches Daughter-Inspired Scent for Homecourt

Courteney Cox, the actress and founder of the home scent brand Homecourt, has created a new fragrance inspired by her daughter, Coco Arquette. Cox has been dreaming of this scent since launching Homecourt in 2022, inspired by her daughter’s unique personality. “Coco is so smart, so cool, and so creative,” Cox says of her 20-year-old daughter. “Not just because she’s my daughter, but also because she’s such a special person.”

The new collection, named Cocomoi, is a tribute to Coco and her vibrant spirit. “I’m blushing,” Arquette says of the fragrance. “My mom is my rock, my best friend.” The scent, like the mother-daughter duo, shares common notes with Cox’s original Homecourt fragrance: sweet cardamom, cedarwood, and vetiver. “I wanted it to be familial,” Cox explains. “We are similar human beings,” Arquette says of her relationship with her mother. “We’re both sensitive and emotional, but also really spunky.”

Cocomoi adds a twist to the shared notes with tropical coconut water and black pepper, creating a youthful, green, and sexy beachy scent. The 5-piece collection features a candle in Homecourt’s iconic glass jar and expands the brand to include a full-fledged body collection, featuring a body wash, body scrub, lotion, and hand cream.

Arquette is clearly excited about the collection, joking that she loves being the “Homecourt heiress.” She says, “My apartment always smells incredible.”

When Cox first launched Homecourt, comparisons to her type-A character Monica Geller from Friends were inevitable. Arquette, however, has a unique perspective. “I’ve never watched [Friends] all the way through,” she confesses. “It’s kind of odd, she’s like always making out with men. That’s a little too much for me! But, I do think that she’s very similar to her character. She’s not as high-strung, but just as spunky. And then with the cleaning aspect, thank God for the [Homecourt] sprays. Because one, it smells so good, but also the amount that she’s spraying all the time, thank God it’s nice and natural.”
