Cowboy Bebop’s 25th anniversary has sparked unexpected crossovers and exclusive merchandise. Wizards of the Coast (MTG) has released a collection of crossover items featuring playmats, sleeves, and unique reprints. These items are currently exclusive to Japan.
Japanese MTG players can obtain free Cowboy Bebop postcards with purchases of 3000 yen or more at Wizards Play Network stores. Some postcards include tickets redeemable for Cowboy Bebop X MTG sleeves and playmats, with only 1000 of each item available.
This is the first of three Cowboy Bebop X MTG promotional campaigns. The second will likely feature exclusive items, while the third will include a special playmat distributed at the Players Convention on May 25th and 26th.
An impressive fan-made remake of the Cowboy Bebop opening, featuring the iconic song Tank!, has also emerged. This faithful recreation showcases the enduring appeal of the beloved anime series.
