Crew Soars to Rs 75 Crore Milestone in Fourth Week, Marking Kriti Sanon’s Second Hit of the Year

The comedy heist drama Crew, reminiscent of Ocean’s 11, follows three air hostesses working for a bankrupt airline. Despite facing new releases, Crew has outperformed at the box office, marking Kriti Sanon’s second hit of the year. Led by Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon, Crew has crossed the Rs 75 crore mark in its fourth week. In its first week, the film earned Rs 43.75 crore, followed by Rs 21.45 crore in its second week. The third week saw a slight drop to Rs 6.65 crore. However, Crew entered its fourth week on a strong note, earning Rs 55 lakhs on the first day, Rs 98 lakhs on Saturday, and Rs 1.1 crore on Sunday. Despite a drop to Rs 40 lakh on Monday, the film steadied itself on Tuesday, earning Rs 40 lakh once again. This brings the film’s total collection to Rs 75.16 crore.

Crew has not only performed well in India but also in the North American circuit, one of the biggest overseas markets for Indian films. The film has grossed US $ 3308364 (Rs 27.6 crore) till now and has the potential for further growth. Amongst the latest releases, Crew has outperformed both Do Aur Do Pyaar and LSD 2. Over the past five days, Crew has earned Rs 3.43 crore while Do Aur Do Pyaar, starring Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi, has earned Rs 2.9 crore. Dibakar Banerjee’s LSD has only managed to earn Rs 81 lakhs.

The success of Crew marks another triumph for Kriti Sanon, as it is her second hit of the year. Her first film, Tere Baaton Mein Uljaha Jiya, earned approximately Rs 85 crore.
