CUET UG 2024 Results Delayed: Students Express Frustration as NTA Remains Silent

Lakhs of students across India are anxiously awaiting the release of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2024 results, but the National Testing Agency (NTA) remains silent. The agency was initially scheduled to announce the results by June 30, but due to controversies surrounding NEET UG 2024, the schedule has been pushed back.

The NTA issued a provisional answer key on July 7 and gave candidates until July 9 to raise objections. However, many students have voiced their concerns about alleged discrepancies in the provisional answer sheets, taking to social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) to express their doubts. Despite the outcry, the NTA has not issued an official response.

The delay in releasing the final answer key and the subsequent results is causing significant anxiety and frustration among students. The results are crucial for admission to 261 universities that accept CUET UG scores. The delay in the results directly impacts the admission process, pushing back the start of the new academic year at many universities.

The University of Delhi, which offers 71,000 undergraduate seats, was supposed to begin the new academic year on August 1. However, without the CUET UG 2024 results, the university might be forced to postpone the start date. This scenario could unfold at other participating universities as well.

Students have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to express their frustration and demand clarity from the NTA. They have tagged the education minister, Jatin Sharma, and the NTA on their posts, seeking answers about the delay and the reason behind the withholding of the results. Some students have expressed concerns about potential fraud within the exam process, while others are simply demanding a definitive date for the results announcement.

The NTA has not officially announced a date or time for the release of the CUET UG 2024 results, but it is expected that the final answer key and results will be released within the next few days. Once the results are announced, students can access them on the official NTA website, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/.

The CUET UG 2024 exam was conducted on May 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24, and 29, 2024, in both computer-based test (CBT) and pen-and-paper modes. The exam was conducted in pen-and-paper mode for 15 subjects with the highest registration, while the remaining 48 subjects were held in CBT mode.
