Culture Week Tbilisi 2024: A Return to Creative Immersion and Cultural Exchange

Prepare to be immersed in an abundance of creative expression and cultural dynamism as Culture Week Tbilisi makes its highly anticipated return for its second edition from May 9 – 12, 2024. Following the success of its inaugural event, Culture Week Tbilisi promises to provide an experience that is even more immersive than the first, assuring attendees a diverse program that encapsulates creative performances, exhibitions, collaborative experiences, and much more. The event’s purpose is to provide a platform to all, enabling multicultural exchanges, collaboration, and a chance for all to better understand art as a whole. The four-day festival will be taking place at Factory Tbilisi, a former Coca-Cola factory that has now been refurbished into an art and cultural center. This year, Culture Week Tbilisi 2024 will include several exhibitions showcasing works by both Georgian and international artists. Visitors can expect to catch documentary film screenings featuring acclaimed works such as Mary, Marianna, Maria – The Unsung Greek Years of Callas by Mihalis Asthenidis and Vasilis Louras, films by celebrated director Reiner Holzemer, theatre performances by Theatre Factory 42, curated exhibitions by notable figures like Diane Pernet, Ketuta Alexi-Meskhishvili and Adriano Cisani, sculptures by Amine Amharech and much more. Attendees can also look forward to special projects like the George Alexi-Meskhishvili Design School exhibition, performances by the Georgian National Ballet, and an orchestrated concert with the Georgian Symphony Orchestra and Anita Rachvelishvili. Along with this, 2024 will also see the addition of a special fashion element on the Culture Week Tbilisi schedule. The newly introduced Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week will spotlight the cultural significance of the clothing industry as a form of expression. This collaboration will also give local talents a platform to share their designs with the world. The return of Culture Week Tbilisi reaffirms its commitment to the celebration of diversity, creativity, and the universal language of art. Be sure to follow to keep up with all the updates!
