Maddie Martin and Sydney May delivered standout performances for Cumberland Valley in their 8-4 victory over Red Land. Martin demonstrated her power at the plate with a home run and three RBIs, showcasing her impressive hitting ability. May proved to be a force both offensively and defensively, contributing three hits, including a double and a triple, driving in two runs. She also took control of the pitcher’s mound, pitching a complete game and striking out 10 batters to secure the win for the Eagles.
Emma Stroup further contributed to Cumberland Valley’s offensive success with a home run of her own, driving in two runs, while Annika Shearer also chipped in with an RBI. Red Land put up a valiant effort, but the Eagles’ strong performance proved too much to overcome.
