In the upcoming Great American Family holiday film ‘A Royal Christmas Ball,’ set to premiere in November 2024, Danica McKellar and Oliver Rice will share the screen. McKellar portrays Chelsea Jones, a dance instructor in Chicago who inspires young dancers. On the cusp of Christmas, Chelsea stumbles upon a previously unseen photograph of a woman in a wedding dress with a partially obscured man. Intrigued, Chelsea embarks on a four-day journey to the town of Havenshire with limited clues to uncover the mystery of her birth family.
Along the way, she encounters Prince Phillip (Rice), a prince in need of dance lessons. With determination and resourcefulness, Chelsea infiltrates a castle, guides the prince in his dance steps, and eagerly anticipates the pivotal moment on Christmas Eve when bells toll.
The film boasts a lineup of executive producers, including Brad Krevoy, Amy Krell, Vince Balzano, McKellar, Jimmy Townsend, Susie Belzberg Krevoy, and Don McBrearty. David Anselmo takes on the role of producer, while Kelly Martin, Michael Shepard, Michael Beard, and James Mou serve as supervising producers. Marcy Holland penned the screenplay, with the story originating from McKellar’s own ideas.
