Former soccer legend David Beckham has filed a lawsuit against Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg for allegedly misleading him in a failed business deal involving their joint venture, F45 Training. Beckham claims he suffered $10 million in losses due to undelivered stocks and is also suing F45 founders Adam Gilchrist and Rob Deutsch.
According to Beckham, the partnership was forged when he moved to Los Angeles and became close friends with Wahlberg. Beckham agreed to serve as the global ambassador for F45 Training, but the arrangement went south when the company’s stock price plummeted.
Wahlberg and F45 have denied the allegations, calling them “fraudulent conduct.” However, a judge has already ruled against Wahlberg’s claims, setting the stage for a legal battle.
This is not the first time F45 has faced legal challenges. Former NFL star Terrell Owens also sued the company for allegedly withholding more than $700,000 from him.
Beckham’s lawsuit against Wahlberg highlights the complexities of celebrity endorsements and the potential risks involved in business partnerships. The outcome of the legal battle will be closely watched by both the entertainment and business worlds.
