DC Assistant Coach Pravin Amre and Akhilesh Yadav Announce Lok Sabha Candidacies

Assistant coach Pravin Amre revealed that the Delhi Capitals (DC) were initially aiming for a total of around 180 runs in a recent match. However, captain Rishabh Pant’s confidence propelled the team to cross the 200-run mark. In a separate development, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has announced his candidacy for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, becoming the second key leader from the India Alliance to do so after Rahul Gandhi. Yadav will contest from the Connaughts constituency, a traditional Samajwadi Party stronghold that he has previously won. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh have accused the Congress party of attempting to introduce reservations for Muslims through backdoor means, including in the Armed Forces. Modi also claimed that the Congress reduced the quota for OBCs in Karnataka by placing Muslim castes in the same category. The Congress has dismissed these allegations as an attempt to stir up old issues. The upcoming episode of India First will explore whether OBCs are being denied their due in favor of Muslim appeasement, as claimed by the BJP.
