DDA Housing Schemes Witness Huge Success: Over 1,200 Flats Sold in Two Days

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is celebrating a resounding success with its affordable housing schemes, ‘Sasta Ghar’ and ‘Madhyam Vargiya’. Launched on Tuesday, September 10th, these schemes have seen an overwhelming response, with over 1,200 flats sold within just two days.

On the first day alone, more than 1,100 flats were snapped up within a mere four hours, showcasing the immense demand for affordable housing in the city. The second day continued this momentum, with over 1,050 ‘Sasta Ghar’ flats and 250 ‘Madhyam Vargiya’ flats finding new owners.

DDA’s commitment to efficiency is evident in their swift issuance of demand letters. Within 24 hours of booking, over 1,170 demand letters were issued online, ensuring a smooth and transparent process for buyers.

The popularity of the schemes spans across various locations in Delhi. In Rohini, over 450 flats were sold, followed by 100 in Ramgarh Colony. All 41 flats offered in Jasola were also quickly snapped up. The response in Narela was particularly encouraging, with over 350 flats sold. This surge in interest can be attributed to the Delhi Lieutenant Governor, VK Saxena’s, focus on developing civic infrastructure in Narela. Upcoming projects like the education hub with university campuses, international sports complex, and enhanced connectivity have made Narela an attractive prospect for buyers.

DDA’s dedication to customer satisfaction is evident in their efforts to provide seamless information and single-window enquiries on their website. They have also made it a priority to hand over all property-related documents to buyers, ensuring a transparent and trust-building process.

The DDA’s Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme, specifically designed for affordable segments of society, has proven to be a huge hit. With their commitment to providing housing for all, the DDA is making significant strides towards ensuring that everyone has access to affordable and comfortable living spaces, coupled with essential physical and social infrastructure. The success of the 2024 housing schemes is a testament to this commitment.
