Three Fatal Casualties in Fredericton Motor Vehicle Collision

A horrific incident in Fredericton, New Brunswick, has resulted in the tragic loss of three lives and severe injuries to two others. The catastrophic collision occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning on the 700 block of Douglas Avenue, on the city’s northside.

As per Fredericton Police, the vehicle involved was believed to have been traveling at an alarming rate of speed when it collided with a tree and subsequently landed on top of another vehicle. The impact of the collision proved fatal for the driver and two passengers within the first vehicle, who succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

Furthermore, two passengers in the second vehicle sustained injuries, one of whom is currently receiving medical attention for critical injuries, while the other has sustained minor injuries. The occupants of the second vehicle reportedly sustained minor injuries.

Fredericton Police Chief Martin Gaudet expressed deep sorrow and sympathy for the victims and their loved ones, describing the incident as a ‘terrible tragedy.’ He extended heartfelt condolences on behalf of the police department and acknowledged the invaluable efforts of the first responders who swiftly arrived at the scene.
