Dearborn Divine Child Sweeps Lumen Christi in Catholic League Baseball Doubleheader
The Lumen Christi baseball team faced a tough challenge on Tuesday as they took on Dearborn Divine Child in a Catholic League doubleheader. Unfortunately for the Titans, they were unable to solve the Falcons’ pitching, resulting in a sweep with scores of 4-0 and 10-1.
Throughout the 14 innings of play, the Titans’ offense struggled to produce, managing to score only one run in the fifth inning of Game 2. The lone run came courtesy of a sacrifice fly by Kash Kalahar, driving in Gannon Shore, who had reached base on a single earlier in the inning. Paul Sattler and Brodie Gregory also contributed to the scoring opportunity with singles of their own.
Despite the offensive struggles, the Titans will look to bounce back in their next matchup. The team’s pitching staff showed signs of resilience, especially in the second game where they allowed only one run through the first four innings. The Titans will need to find their offensive rhythm and provide more support for their pitchers if they hope to turn things around in their upcoming games.
