The Franklin Police Department (FPD) has confirmed that they are continuing to investigate the death of Mandisa Hundley, the former ‘American Idol’ contestant who was found deceased in her Nashville home on April 18.
Hundley, whose full name was Mandisa Hundley, was 47 years old at the time of her passing. Her cause of death is still unknown, and the FPD has stated that there is no indication of foul play.
The FPD released a statement on Monday, expressing their condolences to Hundley’s family and friends. The statement also noted that Hundley’s death was the result of a possible medical issue, and that there was no evidence of suspicious or criminal activity.
Hundley, a California native, rose to fame after appearing on Season 5 of ‘American Idol.’ Her music career spanned over a decade, during which she released several successful albums, including ‘True Beauty’ (2007) and ‘Overcomer’ (2013), which won a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album.
