Advocate Rishikesh Kumar, who represents Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, provided an update on the CM’s judicial remand and the upcoming hearing on the challenge to his arrest. Kumar informed that Kejriwal’s judicial remand has been extended until May 7. The Supreme Court hearing to challenge the CM’s arrest has been scheduled for April 29.
Kumar stated that the Supreme Court’s intervention ensured that insulin was administered to Kejriwal after seeking advice from an AIIMS doctor. The insulin requirement was deemed urgent, and the intervention of the Court made it possible.
Regarding today’s proceedings, Kumar said Kejriwal was produced through video conferencing. The Enforcement Directorate filed an application to extend the judicial remand, which was subsequently granted until May 7.
Kumar expressed optimism that Kejriwal would be released soon, given that the hearing to challenge his arrest is scheduled for April 29.
