Delhi High Court Orders Kejriwal’s Wife to Remove Court Hearing Video

The Delhi High Court has directed Mrs. Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, to remove a video recording of a court hearing in the excise policy case from all social media platforms. This directive was issued in response to a plea filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which sought the removal of the video, claiming that it violated the privacy of individuals involved in the case.

The video, which was posted on Twitter by Sunita Kejriwal on August 11, 2022, showed portions of the hearing in the excise policy case. The ED argued that the video contained sensitive information and that its release could prejudice the ongoing investigation. The court agreed with the ED’s contention and ordered Sunita Kejriwal to take down the video.

In its order, the court observed that the video recording of the court hearing was made without the permission of the court and that it contained sensitive information. The court added that the release of the video could prejudice the ongoing investigation and that it could also affect the privacy of the individuals involved in the case.

The court directed Sunita Kejriwal to remove the video from all social media platforms within 24 hours. The court also directed Twitter to remove the video from its platform. The court has listed the matter for further hearing on September 7, 2022.
