The Delhi Jal Board has announced a 24-hour water supply disruption in several north Delhi areas, starting Thursday morning. This disruption is due to interconnection work being carried out on the Punjabi Bagh water main. The main, which consists of underground pipes, supplies water to key areas like Kewal Park, Lawrance Road, and Punjabi Bagh.
The disruption is scheduled to begin at 9 am on August 8 and will continue until 9 am on August 9. This will affect residents in various localities including Gopalpur village, SIS Flats in Mukherjee Nagar, Wazirabad village, Kewal Park, Kewal Park Extension, Gopal Nagar, Majlis Park, Rameshwar Nagar, R&M Block Model Town, North Model Town, Derawal Nagar, Gagrawal Town, Wazirpur Industrial Area, UGR Mahindra Park, Sei Nagar, Raja Park, Punjabi Bagh West, Arihant Nagar, and adjoining areas.
The Delhi Jal Board has advised residents in the affected areas to store a sufficient amount of water in advance to use during the disruption period.
