Get ready for Diwali celebrations in the capital, but don’t forget to check your Metro travel plans! The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced a change in service timings for the festive day of Diwali on October 31st, 2024.
To accommodate the festivities and ensure the safety of commuters, the last Metro train service on Diwali will depart at 10:00 PM from all terminal stations, including the Airport Express Line. This means that the usual 11:00 PM last train service will be adjusted for the night of Diwali.
However, rest assured that regular Metro service will continue throughout the day, beginning at the usual commencement timings on all lines. So, you can still rely on the Metro for your daily commute and travel plans during the day.
DMRC shared this update on social media platform X, stating, “On account of the Diwali festival, the last Metro train service on 31st October, 2024 (Thursday) will start at 10:00 PM from terminal stations of all Lines including Airport Express Line.” The post further clarifies, “Metro train services will run as usual for rest of the day on Diwali from routine commencement timings on all the Lines.”
