Delhi Poised for Lok Sabha Polls on May 25
Delhi will exercise its democratic right on Saturday, May 25, in the sixth phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. The Congress party has joined forces with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) under the INDIA bloc to challenge the incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). All seven constituencies in the national capital will cast their votes simultaneously in this penultimate phase.
Restrictions for Polling Day
To ensure a fair and orderly voting process, several restrictions have been imposed by state authorities. These measures include a 48-hour ban on liquor sales, with all liquor stores and licensed premises in Delhi and neighboring areas remaining closed from May 23, 6:00 pm, to May 25, 6:00 pm. Additionally, liquor sale will be prohibited on the day of the Lok Sabha election results, June 4.
