Denise Welch Slams Royal Biographer Angela Levin’s Criticism of Meghan Markle’s Jam Promotion Photos

Denise Welch has come to the defense of Meghan Markle after royal biographer Angela Levin criticized the Duchess of Sussex over her promotional photos for her new jam range. Levin, who has openly criticized Meghan in the past, slammed the former Suits actress by claiming her promotional photos for the new product looked “set up”. During her appearance on TalkTV, presenter JJ Anisiobi told Levin the photos were just PR for a product Meghan was trying to sell. “With respect, Angela, you sound like a social media troll,” he told her, which angered Levin. She then discussed the jam Suits star Abigail Spencer received as a gift, which saw her thanking Meghan with a few snaps of her posing with the jam. Levin was annoyed by the pictures and called them ‘ridiculous’. The host reminded her that the photos were simply a form of advertising. After a heated conversation, she had enough and said: “You’re here to fight me so why don’t you say goodbye?” and waved at the camera. JJ replied: “I’m not here to fight you, I’m just laying out the truth to you… You don’t want to be challenged,” but Angela then hung up the video call. Angela’s disastrous interview was shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, alongside a video of Piers Morgan getting called out for his constant criticism of Meghan. Denise reposted the videos and said: “What an absolutely vile woman @angelalevin1 is. Why is she allowed to continually trash, insult and verbally abuse Meghan Markle in public forums???” Some were quick to disagree with Denise, telling her: “Why not, even if she was? Free speech. Not everyone has to like the harkles,” with another person adding: “We’re not keen on you either.”

The Loose Women panellist quickly responded to the tweet with laughing face emojis. Many agreed with Denise and took to her comment section to criticize the commentator. One user posted: “Hateful for no reason… she’s being hysterical about a pot of jam… sad woman,” while another wrote: “I honestly don’t know how people are allowed to keep getting away with this constant bullying. It’s just so gross and really really dark. Glad someone stood up to her.”

One person commented: “She can dish it but can’t take it, ending the interview because she was told exactly what she is.”
