Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has one of the highest disapproval ratings among U.S. governors, according to a recent survey by Morning Consult. The survey, which tracked data from about 9,000 voters over three months, placed DeSantis with a 44% disapproval rating. This puts him just behind Oregon Governor Tina Kotek (45%) and Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds (47%).
DeSantis’ disapproval rating is a reflection of the divided opinions Floridians have about their governor. According to the survey results, 51% of Floridians approve of what DeSantis has done since winning the 2018 gubernatorial election, while 44% disapprove. This means that just 5% of Florida voters are undecided.
Despite the high disapproval rating, DeSantis remains popular among Republicans nationwide. The survey found that he has the highest approval rating among Republicans at 84%, higher than any other GOP governor.
