The Detroit Lions have rewarded one of their rising stars, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, with a massive contract extension. The four-year, $120 million deal includes $77 million guaranteed, making St. Brown the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history.
The 24-year-old St. Brown has emerged as one of the most productive pass-catchers in the league since being selected in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. In just three seasons, he has already racked up 214 receptions for 2,583 yards and 22 touchdowns.
Last year, St. Brown set career highs across the board with 119 catches, 1,515 yards, and 16 touchdowns. He was named a first-team All-Pro and made the Pro Bowl for the second consecutive season.
The Lions are clearly betting on St. Brown to continue to be a key part of their offense for years to come. He has quickly developed into one of quarterback Jared Goff’s favorite targets, and his ability to make plays in the slot and on the outside makes him a valuable asset.
