Deyang Brings Ancient Sanxingdui Culture to Hong Kong’s Victoria Park

The “Victoria Park Celebrates the Return of Hong Kong” exhibition, now open in Hong Kong’s Victoria Park, has captivated audiences with its unique charm. The event features a special focus on the ancient Sanxingdui culture from Deyang, Sichuan, offering visitors a rich and engaging experience.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the archaeological research process through the Sanxingdui VR interactive cabin, taking them on a virtual journey to the actual Sanxingdui archaeological site. They can witness firsthand the new archaeological technologies employed at the site. A QR code scan allows visitors to explore artifacts from the Sanxingdui Museum, such as the towering 2-meter bronze statue, the bronze mask with its protruding eyes and large ears, and the mask with its remarkable 85% gold content. These artifacts bring the life of the ancient Shu people to life, transporting visitors back in time.

The exhibition also offers a delightful selection of over 40 Sanxingdui Museum cultural and creative products. The “Chuan Shu Xiaodui” blind box, “Long Hu Zun” tea set, bronze bird plush toy, and bronze standing man have proven particularly popular with attendees.

Beyond the Sanxingdui exhibits, the event showcases local specialties and cultural heritage. Visitors can enjoy Mianzhu New Year’s paintings, Deyang Chaozhou-style round fans, Luojiang soybean meat, eight delicacies oily cake, and Changlin century eggs. The exhibition also highlights other urban cultural landmarks of Deyang, including China Dried Noodle Village, China Mianzhu New Year’s Painting Village, Sanxingdui itself, and the Long Men Zhi Dian International Tourism Resort. This captivating exhibition provides a window into Deyang’s vibrant culture, inviting visitors to explore, learn, and appreciate its rich heritage.
