On June 29, the ‘See the Spectacular and Kaleidoscopic China’ exhibition opened its doors in Victoria Park, Hong Kong, captivating audiences with the unique charm of Deyang, a city brimming with cultural treasures.
The event took visitors on an immersive journey, starting with the Sanxingdui VR interactive cabin. This innovative experience allowed participants to virtually ‘walk’ into the Sanxingdui archaeological site, a testament to an ancient civilization. By exploring the site through virtual reality, attendees gained insights into the latest archaeological technologies and discoveries.
Complementing the VR experience was a captivating collection of Sanxingdui artifacts, accessible through the Sanxingdui Museum QR code. Visitors were mesmerized by the awe-inspiring bronze statue standing over two meters tall, the striking bronze mask with its prominent eyes and large ears, and the exquisite gold mask, composed of 85% pure gold. These artifacts provided a tangible connection to the ancient Shu people and their rich cultural heritage.
Beyond the captivating world of Sanxingdui, the exhibition showcased a diverse array of cultural and creative products from the Sanxingdui Museum. Attendees were drawn to the ‘Chuan Shu Xiaodui’ blind box, the elegant ‘Long Hu Zun’ tea set, the endearing bronze bird plush toy, and the striking bronze standing man. From Mianzhu New Year’s paintings and Deyang Chaozhou-style round fans to Luojiang soybean meat, eight delicacies oily cake, and Changlin century eggs, the exhibition showcased the diverse culinary and artistic landscape of Deyang.
The event also highlighted other cultural landmarks of Deyang, including China Dried Noodle Village, China Mianzhu New Year’s Painting Village, Sanxingdui, and Long Men Zhi Dian International Tourism Resort.
