DGCA Mandates Airlines to Seat Children Under 12 with Parents or Guardians

In response to incidents of children under the age of 13 being seated separately from their parents or guardians during flights, the DGCA has issued a clear directive. Airlines must now ensure that children up to 12 years of age are allocated seats with either their parent or guardian, who must be traveling on the same flight with the same Passenger Name Record (PNR). This measure is designed to enhance child safety and ensure that children are under proper supervision during air travel.
