Rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, already facing serious sex trafficking and racketeering charges, is now facing a wave of over 120 new allegations of sexual assault. These accusations, spanning from 1991 to the present, come from individuals who claim they were abused by Combs under the promise of making it big in the music industry. The most shocking claim involves a 9-year-old boy who alleges he was assaulted by Combs at a Bad Boy Records audition in New York City.
Houston attorney Tony Buzbee, representing the 120 accusers, says their stories paint a disturbing picture. One alleged victim, who was just nine years old at the time, was allegedly brought to an audition where he was abused by Combs and others. Both the boy and his parents were allegedly promised a record deal if he cooperated. Buzbee states that Combs, allegedly promised, “I will make you a star.” The attorney strongly condemns this alleged behavior, calling it “sexual assault, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation” that should never happen. He points out the lasting impact on the victims, saying they are “injured, scared and scarred.”
In response to these serious allegations, Combs’ attorney, Erica Wolff, claims that he “cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus.” While vehemently denying all claims of sexual abuse, Wolff says Combs is confident in his innocence and intends to fight these accusations in court.
Buzbee’s firm initially received over 3,280 contacts from individuals alleging victimization by Combs. After thorough investigation, the firm decided to represent 120 people, with additional cases under review. The allegations come from individuals across more than 25 states, with a large concentration in California, New York, Georgia, and Florida.
The alleged abuse occurred primarily at parties held in New York, California, and Florida, where victims were reportedly given drugged drinks. Buzbee states that young individuals hoping to break into the industry were often coerced into sexual acts with promises of fame and fortune.
A second juvenile complainant alleges Combs suggested a secret meeting away from his parents to discuss a potential opportunity. According to the lawyer, Combs allegedly forced this victim into performing oral sex.
Combs, 54, is currently in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after pleading not guilty to federal charges in September. The charges accuse him of using his power and influence to induce female victims into sexual performances with male sex workers at events called “Freak Offs.”
These new accusations add to the mounting legal pressure Combs is facing. He remains adamant about his innocence and intends to fight the charges in court. The allegations, however, have sparked a significant controversy in the music industry and beyond, with many questioning Combs’ actions and demanding accountability.
The impact of these allegations, regardless of the outcome of the legal battles, will undoubtedly have a lasting effect on Combs’ reputation and legacy. As the story unfolds, the public awaits the truth and justice for the alleged victims.
