The legal woes of music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs continue to escalate as a new lawsuit alleges he sexually assaulted a luxury car businessman at one of his lavish parties. The alleged assault, which reportedly took place during a launch party for Combs’ Ciroc vodka brand in 2022, was allegedly stopped by a professional athlete who intervened before the situation could escalate further.
According to court documents, the businessman, identified as “John Doe”, claimed that Combs invited him into his private office during the event and proceeded to strip off his pants, expose himself, and grab the victim’s genitals through his clothing. The lawsuit alleges that the businessman was “shocked and disoriented” by the incident, initially frozen in place and unsure of how to respond. The alleged attack was only brought to a halt when an unnamed professional athlete, referred to as “Professional Athlete A” in the lawsuit, walked into the office and intervened. The businessman then fled the room and left the party altogether.
This latest allegation adds to the growing list of legal challenges facing Combs. He is currently awaiting trial on criminal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, charges that stem from accusations of abuse and coercion involving multiple women. In addition, Combs is facing at least two dozen civil lawsuits accusing him of sexual misconduct, including 13 filed by the same legal firm. While Combs has denied all allegations of wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty to the criminal charges, he is currently being held in a Brooklyn jail known for its poor living conditions after being denied bail twice.
Amid the ongoing legal battles, Combs’ legal team has been actively seeking to protect his privacy. They have requested a gag order on the names of the ever-increasing number of accusers coming forward with allegations of sexual misconduct. However, these requests have been met with resistance as the legal system strives to balance the rights of both the accused and the accusers.
As the legal battle continues, Combs’ trial is scheduled for May 5, 2025. The case is expected to garner significant public attention as it unfolds, prompting further scrutiny of Combs’ actions and potentially leading to additional accusations. The saga highlights the ongoing conversation surrounding sexual abuse and the importance of holding powerful figures accountable for their alleged actions.
